I have always been driven by my love for stories. Whether it is the story behind a social issue or a landscape designer’s business philosophy, helping to fashion the words and imagery to tell those stories and then producing them for public consumption is my passion.
Working with non-profits, tech start-ups, and small businesses, both as an employee and a freelancer, turned me into a jack-of-all-trades. I have experience in data management and analysis, web design, graphic design, marketing, public relations, and customer relations. Add to that experience a degree in ecology, community organizing, and participation in the performing arts. All this has given me insight into many different types of businesses, non-profits, and community issues, which I bring to the table for every project I am involved in.
When I am not working, you will find me taking online classes to improve my design skills and widen my horizons. I have completed California Institute of the Arts’ Graphic Design Specialization through Coursera, a five course program that covers image making, typography, history of graphic design, and brand development. This coursework culminated in a capstone project, Retnovation. I also received a Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing, providing me with insight on social media marketing, both paid and organic, digital advertising, and SEO. Most recently I gained my own customized Professional Certification in Graphic Design through Sessions College for Professional Design, taking classes in drawing, marketing design, graphic design, brand development, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier Pro, and photography. On top of that, I am constantly looking out for classes on Udemy to further my skillset.
In my free time, you may find me walking the streets of Atlanta or in one of our awesome parks in the metro area, taking lots of photographs.
